SUPERTERRORISTA Immaginate di essere rapiti dai "fascisti islamici" e condotti in una prigione sui monti afghani.
Venite denudati e ammanettati in posizione eretta al soffitto della cella per un mese intero e un incredibile dolore ai polsi vi martella incessantemente il cervello quando, vinti dal sonno, tutto il peso del vostro corpo grava sulle manette. Ferite dolorosissime e sanguinanti vi si aprono, senza che possiate fare nulla se non osservare il sangue scivolarvi lungo le braccia.
Mentre versate in questa condizione, improvvisamente la porta della cella si apre e venite investiti da capo a piedi di acqua gelata. Più volte al giorno.
Vi viene inserito un tubo nel culo e iniettata acqua tiepida e solo dopo quattro ore vi viene dato un secchio da usare come cesso.
Il vostro unico cibo è costituito da una sostanza liquida dal colore imprecisato che vi viene iniettata a forza giù per la gola.
A scadenze più o meno regolari - ma voi avete già perso la cognizione del tempo - tre arabi terroristi, forti e ben addestrati, sui 65 anni, vengono a prelevarvi da quella condizione pietosa in cui versate. Ma voi dareste tutto quello che avete per restare lì, con i polsi sanguinolenti ammanettati al soffitto di quella cella illuminata artificialmente ventiquattro ore al giorno per rendervi ancora più impossibile cercare di dormire: sapete che sono venuti per "interrogarvi". E sapete che vi aspettano torture fisiche e psicologiche che mai avreste immaginato essere così dirompenti per la vostra salute mentale.
Durante gli "interrogatori" venite sbattuti ripetutamente con la testa contro il muro fino a sanguinare. Un medico è sempre presente perché, vi hanno spiegato con disprezzo e per intimorirvi, vi porteranno sull'orlo della morte e poi indietro, per farvi patire sofferenze indicibili.
Venite immobilizzati e la testa vi viene avvolta completamente nel cellophane. A più riprese uno dei tre vi versa dell'acqua in faccia e vi sentite annegare.
All'inizio provate a resistere. Tentate di abbozzare una difesa. Vi accusano di reati che non avete commesso, voi negate. E la tortura ricomincia.
Dopo qualche tempo siete diventati praticamente un vegetale, in voi c'è solo un vago ricordo della persona che eravate. Piangete fino a non avere più lacrime, pregate che la morte arrivi per sottrarvi alla sofferenza.
Quando rapiscono i vostri figli, cedete. La promessa di liberarli e farli tornare in Italia è la leva psicologica che vi piega definitivamente. Non ce la fate più. Annuite a tutte le loro domande, vi accusate di crimini di cui nemmeno sospettavate l'esistenza, anzi ne inventate altri e li convincete che siete voi i responsabili, cercate di capire cosa vogliono sentirsi dire e glielo dite: vi importa solo che la smettano, e che i vostri figli tornino a casa sani e salvi.
Firmate tutti i fogli che vi presentano innanzi, tutte le confessioni che vi scrivono loro, vi sentite degradati ed umiliati.
Hanno ottenuto ciò che vogliono.
Sospendono la tortura e vi slegano dal soffitto. Sedete raggomitolati nella cella, come in stato di trance, e blaterate parole senza senso, in attesa del processo farsa che vi attende prima della decapitazione.

La vicenda sopra narrata è realmente accaduta, con qualche piccola modifica effettuata per esigenze artistiche. Di seguito l'elenco completo delle alterazioni introdotte:
- il vero protagonista della storia si chiama Khalid Sheik Mohammed, nato a Madīnat al-Kuwait, capitale dell'Emirato del Kuwait;
- il rapimento non è stato effettuato dai "fascisti islamici", ma dall'ISI pakistano in azione congiunta con agenti statunitensi;
- la prigione non si trova sui monti afghani ma nella baia di Guantanamo, all'interno della base militare USA lì presente;
- i tre arabi terroristi forti e ben addestrati sui 65 anni sono in realtà tre esperti in "interrogatori" della CIA;
- i bambini del protagonista sono stati presi dalle autorità pakistane e condotti in America ed al momento non si hanno notizie di dove siano "custoditi";
- se verrà condannato alla pena capitale, Khalid non sarà decapitato ma sottoposto ad iniezione letale.
